Weekly footwork practice plan for steady progress

Progress in footwork comes faster when you follow a small, clear and repeatable plan.

The main goal in footwork is to arrive early to the ball and balance before every shot. To get there, you need small adjustment steps, a timely split step and a quick recovery.

  • Start with: ladder work for rhythm
  • Continue with: shadow footwork into four corners
  • Finish the session with: ball feeds with emphasis on recovery

The most common mistake is taking oversized steps near the ball and losing control of your body. If you fix it early, progress comes faster and with less strain on the body.
